What our clients say…

We interviewed a handful of consultants. Most had their ideas of what we needed.  I didn’t even know what we needed, so how could they? Everyone at the Percipio Company listened to our thoughts and ideas without judgment, treated our work with respect, and helped us build a sustainable roadmap for employee engagement. Matthew and his team have helped our team strengthen our workplace relationships.

Kyle Hudson, CEO, KPD Insurance
The preparation with me and with the team was very effective. Matthew’s coaching helped me focus on core areas to better communicate and relate to my team. The pre-work is what really made the difference. You go into it thinking it will be about one thing but it was more than just unconscious bias, it was about getting to know each other better. I would absolutely recommend that business owners take a moment and speak to Matthew.
Michael Janis , CEO, SF Market
Partnering with Matthew to introduce Unconscious Bias to our executive team was a wonderful step in our company’s journey to becoming a better organization. He delivered the material in a way that helped us really look at ourselves while we looked at the biases that impact our daily actions – and our lives. He also managed to make what could feel like “tricky” conversations both eye-opening and positive. We are grateful for his time and attention.
Amy Steadman, SVP People Operations, ABD Insurance and Financial Services
Congratulations on a fantastic workshop! I’ve been a member of the Bar Association of San Francisco for years and this was the most enthusiastic feedback I’ve seen from an audience for a CLE!
Saja Raoof, Immigration Attorney, BASF
The Percipio Company is masterful at making people feel comfortable enough to ask the hard questions and just as uncomfortable enough to know that the answers are going to cause them to re-think their own capabilities and look to how they can change and grow.
Kirsti Tcherkoyan, CEO, Options4Growth
Matthew Cahill is a strategic and passionate leader who is committed to helping individuals and organizations thrive. He has facilitated several impactful workshops and dialogs for the Humane Society of the United States philanthropy department’s major gifts team.

He most recently collaborated with us to develop and present a half-day session for a thirty-person philanthropy team retreat that included members of the department’s leadership as well as colleagues from the EU. Matthew brings calm to interactions that are emotionally charged, leaving participants with insight and a desire to learn more. I highly recommend Matthew and his team of trusted leaders and look forward to our continued collaboration.

Tracey Thurston, Regional Director, Humane Society USA
“There’s no way our ‘Elimination of Bias’ goals can be achieved without first understanding the realities of our conditioned brains. I recommend ‘If You Have a Brain, You Have Bias®’ workshop to all law firms, or any other company that truly cares about mitigating bias in their thinking and their profession.”
Javier A. Bastidas, LPS Law

How Bias Can Impact Your Bottom Line

Every day, you are allowed to make small decisions that often have large consequences. We all have biases and mindsets that can be unconscious and change our opinions without us knowing—causing us to act out prejudices that we’re unaware of. These issues can often stem into bigger issues when they go unchecked. Such behaviors can lead to a lack of diversity in the workplace, among other problems, and ultimately harm your company or employees. It is the biases in our daily lives that can affect how we view ourselves and others.

As humans, we are not perfect, and so biases and unconscious mechanisms are natural to our brains. There is the chance that if you have a brain you have bias, and you will ―make mistakes. However, even when you do things right in your life, there will be a time when you will make some mistakes.

There is a way of managing unconscious bias because this isn’t an inevitable outcome. There are ways we can better ourselves by overcoming unconscious bias in the workplace through the help of professional management consulting firms to make better decisions in our lives.
